The video installation New Human presents the human body in a symmetrical composition split across two video projections—a visual collage in which a male and female figure merge seamlessly along a vertical axis. The black-and-white imagery enhances the illusion of a unified physique, yet tension lingers beneath the surface. Stillness contrasts with subtle movement, and the body—at once strong, beautiful, and ambiguous—suggests both harmony and conflict. Even if they complement one another, the man and woman cannot rest in each other. Sounded by a dark, droning score, New Human explores the fragility of constructed identities and portrays the body as a site of both desire and hindrance, repulsion and attraction.
