The work Rock is a meditation on the paradox of stability and movement, drawing from the duality of the word itself—a “rock”: solid and unmoving, and “to rock”: gently swaying in a regular motion. In the video, a woman curls her body into a stone-like shape, subtly moving from side to side. While her folded form suggests permanence, her movement evokes fragility and her naked body hints at the inevitable changes it will endure over time. Expressing both groundedness and the potential to slip away, the work reflects on the inevitable tension between safety and uncertainty of existence.
