Self Portrait with Cloth, 2016 |  Video sculpture with wardrope, monitor, porcelain, cardboard boxes and textiles, 27:30 min (loop), no sound

Inside a wardrobe-turned-screen, a woman slowly tries on various garments, examining their fit and feel as she gazes toward the viewer. The setting recalls a private dressing room with all its erotic connotations, but her movements are not performed to seduce. Instead, they suggest a quiet negotiation with unfamiliar fabrics—an everyday ritual infused with introspection. She pauses midway to pour tea and glance indifferently at herself, then lies down on a shelf among porcelain and folded linens. Referencing works by Kirsten Justesen and Claude Cahun, Self Portrait with Cloth is a modern cabinet of curiosities where the ordinary becomes performative, and domestic display is employed to challenge traditional roles.
