A woman uses only her tongue to insert and remove matches from her nostrils in a repetitive cycle. The action oscillates between comic absurdity and obsessive ritual, hovering on the edge of discomfort. By exaggerating an apparently playful and senseless gesture into a compulsive act, the work probes the fine line between humour, endurance, and the precariousness of the body as it negotiates the tasks it is demanded to accomplish.
